The PGI MSK Radiology Course is an independent, non-profit academic initiative led by the faculty members of the Musculoskeletal Radiology section, Department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India. Established with the vision of advancing excellence in musculoskeletal imaging education, the course serves as a dedicated platform for high-quality teaching, academic interaction, and professional development in the field of musculoskeletal radiology.
Conducted annually, usually during the last week of February or the first week of March, the programme is designed for radiology residents, fellows, and practising radiologists seeking structured and practical learning in musculoskeletal imaging. The course emphasizes evidence-based learning, case-based discussions, and contemporary imaging approaches relevant to everyday clinical practice. The programme also includes live musculoskeletal ultrasound demonstrations and hands-on USG workshops, allowing participants to gain practical exposure to basic as well as advanced MSK ultrasound. In addition to academic lectures and interactive sessions, the course encourages active scholarly participation through scientific oral and poster presentations, providing participants with an opportunity to present research work, share interesting cases, and engage in academic discussion with peers and faculty. The course also features an engaging resident quiz competition with exciting prizes, aimed at promoting interactive learning and academic enthusiasm among trainees.
